In this talk, I will present recent progress on the stochastic MHD equations in a bounded domain, perturbed by spatially smooth, multiplicative Gaussian noise. We establish the existence and uniqueness of a pathwise strong solution, which is global in two spatial dimensions. This work is part of a broader effort to understand the regularity properties of stochastic MHD systems, with a view toward rigorous numerical analysis. Based on joint work in progress with Ben Goldys and Thanh Tran.
