Do you need more compute for your research? Are you interested in learning how to access the university's cloud-based computing resources? The Sydney Informatics Hub has kindly agreed to give a presentation to our school about the changes to computing resources at the university, with the upcoming transition from Artemis to NCI (more info below).
Title: Sydney Research Cloud: Changes to Research Computing
The University’s legacy research computing service, Artemis, is being replaced with broad access to tier 1 national digital infrastructure with a focus on NCI (National Computational Infrastructure). This presentation is an overview of NCI and its capabilities, how to get started on NCI, and where to find resources and get help. A small proportion of researchers may not be able to transition easily to NCI so we’ll outline alternative options, then conclude with updates about Trusted Research Environments and GPUs.
